Rosebud Masons to Host Food Booth Sat 11/5

Brothers of Rosebud Masonic Lodge #745 will host a food booth on Saturday, November 5 at their town's "City-Wide Garage Sale." The booth will be set up on the sidewalk in front of the Lodge building at 241 Main Street in downtown Rosebud. Brothers will be gathering starting around 8:00 and coffee will be served if it's cold out! For more information please contact WM Joe Wallace at 254 482 1867. See you there!

Funeral for Bro. Jamie Wright on Sun. 10/16

Brethren,

It is with a heavy heart and deep regret we announce the passing of the Worshipful Master of of Rockdale Lodge #414, and Senior Warden of Lexington Lodge #138, Bro. Jamie Wright. Brother Wright passed Tuesday, Oct. 11 after a long and hard battle with cancer. He was a true Brother, a great friend, a loyal Mason, and a wonderful person. He will be sorely missed. A Masonic graveside service will be held.

Masonic Brothers who are available are also asked to come early and help with parking.

Sunday, 2 p.m.

(Rockdale) James Howard "Jamie" Wright, Jr., 67, of Tanglewood died Tuesday in an area hospital. Funeral Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Tanglewood Christian Camp Chapel, with burial in the Hugh Wilson Cemetery in Tanglewood. Visiation Saturday from 5-8 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home. Mr. Wright was a machinist in Houston for many years and managed the Tanglewood Christian Camp. He was a life member of Castro Valley Masonic Lodge and was a member of the Lexingotn and Rockdale Masonic Lodges. He also served on the board of directors of Hugh Wilson Cemetery as well as many other organizations and community groups. Survivors include:

Wife: Barbara Wright, of Tanglewood

1 Son: James H. "Little Jamie" Wright, III, of Austin

1 Daughter: Renee Wright, of Rockdale

2 Step-Daughters:
Khris Starbuck & husband, Russell, of Round Rock
Pam Rutherford & husband, Brad of Pflugerville

2 grandchildren also survive
Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home of Rockdale is in charge of arrangements

* Carolina and Rosebud Lodges, with help from Marlin and Chilton, to assemble toothbrush kits at Carolina Lodge in Lott at 6:30 on Thurs., Oct. 13.
* Rockdale Lodge, along with the Rockdale OES Chapter, is raising money to help repair their slab. Raffle tickets are on sale and will be drawn on Nov. 1.

On Saturday March 26th, down town Thorndale Texas will be alive with V-Twins and American Iron as the Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce presents The 12th Annual "Louis Run" and 2nd Annual "Tour de Frank" classic car show from 10:00am until 3:00pm. The event features a 75 mile poker style bike run beginning and ending at Steve's Place, with stops at Noack Bar, Casper's Place, Ace's Bar, and The Oak Club. Along with a classic car show with awards for 17 categories. There will be vendors booths, Arts & Crafts and concessions available. Entry fee for bikes or cars is $25 each. Register in advance or beginning at 8:00am that morning. Vendor spots are $25 & $50. Bikes out at 11:00am and return at 4:00pm. Proceeds benefit The Bulldog Family Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps families facing the challenges of a terminal illness.
